ACTION DEMONSTRATION SDGs 13. : AWARENESS TO OVERCOME FLOOD

 AWARENESS TO OVERCOME FLOOD

Nowadays, there's a lot world problems that arise from the fields of economy, education, social, environment, etc. So that countries in the world synergize with each other by making the SDGs or Sustainable Development Goals program which contains 17 goals that are used to overcome common world problems. Now what I will examine is point 13 about climate action.

Today's climate problems cannot be underestimated because they are starting to bring widespread negative impacts. One of the impacts is flooding, flooding caused by climate change arises because the polar ice caps melt so that the volume of seawater increases, but the scorching sun cause heavy rains in some areas. If some areas don't have sufficient water catchment areas, large floods will arise.

After I did an English lesson about SDGs and did an analysis of point number 13, the action I would take to overcome the flood was :
  1. Reduce the use paper and tissue (so the forest not deforested). We can replace paper by optimizing technology / using laptops / cellphones to do school or office work, and use handkerchief to replace tissue.

2. Planting to hold plenty of water.
Besides functioning to overcome flooding, planting lots of plants can make the air cooler because pollution or CO2 is absorbed by plants and then replaced by O2, so it's all also beneficial for your own health.

So that's what I do to solve the problem of climate change, especially the flood solution.

Thank you, hopefully what I write today can be useful for others in the future.

See you on my next blog!!

Biography of Rachel Vennya

Rachel Vennya Roland or often called Buna Is a woman who was born in Jakarta on 23 September 1995. Her father Andrea Roland and Vien Tasman are her mother. Even like that, she was born into a broken home. Since her parents broke up, she only lived with her mother. That condition doesn’t make rachel hopeless or sad. Because of this, she grew into a strong woman and could become the backbone of her family. She loved her mother very much.

She worked hard to make her mother happy and proud of what she did. She was just a woman who worked as a makeup artist who was paid cheaply, but that she kept on doing it because she really liked makeup. After working in the makeup, she turned to fashion. In fashion she got a big enough profit, finally she expanded sales to online sites. From the photos of the clothes that she sells and wears, they can attract the attention of buyers, so this is where the beginning of Rachel Vennya became an influencer.

Rachel’s life is getting better along with the popularity she has and the more colorful life when she has a husband named Niko and is blessed with a very funny and smart child named Xabiru. Rachel can be a good mother to her child and she is a role model for other mothers because of the way she educates her child which is very effective and fun. She is a woman who teaches her children without violence, she doesn’t want what she experienced will be experienced by her child.

She taught her children to share with others, like lately when the covid-19 pandemic or people call it the corona virus, Rachel contributed hundreds of millions and she opened a donation to deal with the corona virus in Indonesia. It didn’t take long, only 5 days after the donation was opened she was able to collect money of 5 billion, because she was a big influencer in Indonesia with followers on instagram of 4.4 billion, which gives a huge influence.

In addition to opening a donation, she and her husband also donated 1000 hazmat suits for medical workers throughout Indonesia who are dealing with patients infected with the corona virus, this Hazmat suit is distributed to all referral hospitals throughout Indonesia, although every hospital will get some hazmat suits because of product limitations. Rachel published this on her Instagram account @rachelvennya

What Rachel has done is very helpful in overcoming the virus pandemic in this country. Hopefully what Rachel does can be copied by other influencers or even other people who are financially capable. Actually we can all participate in minimizing the spread of this virus by means of self-quarantine walking out only when it's important and don't forget to always keep clean, especially always washing hands. Stay Safe! #StayAtYourHome
